Biotecture Planet Earth, a registered 501C3 non profit organization, in collaboration with Earthship Biotecture and Greater Good International, is building the first hurricane and earthquake resistant Earthship School in Haiti.
The building will function as shelter and a first response shelter during natural disasters such as earthquakes and hurricanes, and as a school during all other times. After the recent earthquake, school caretakers were actually able to sleep inside the building and feel safe.
This project will provide children that do not have access to school with a free education and one warm meal per day, enabling them a better future. It also sets an example to the community of sustainable construction and showcases an alternative to managing the community’s garbage.
Any donation will go straight to the production of this project, including a much needed salary to some of the community’s workers to enable them to learn to build Earthships and ensuring reaching our knowledge transfer objective.
